So far the project has produced some important works that are the foundation of the training that is still to come.
- Country reports on people with disabilities and their needs, national polices and employment circumstances, for Austria, Estonia, Greece and Spain.
- A Consultation procedure & and policy, with lists of national and international organisations that may be interested in the project.
- The Trainer-training Research Principles and Design Specification. including a self-assessment checklist for training designers
- Nearly 200 documents containing the elements of the training: examples, case studies, exercises, workbooks, formats, handouts and checklists, Skills and Behaviour lists
- A guide to integrating the Learning Needs Analysis with the training elements and design specifications.
Now we are identifying people to work with us as organisations, students and future trainers. During 2009 we will be developing training programmes that suit their needs, and carrying out trials with them. In early 2010 ( or sooner) we will be helping to monitor the changes in skills and practice that the courses have created, and reviewing performance of the trials. Our newsletter will keep you abreast of the project as it develops, so you may also sign up to receive electronic copies here.
